Department of
Paediatrics and Child Health

About the Department

The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health was established in October 1975. The paediatric sub-specialties that have evolved over time encompass cardiology, neonatology, nephrology and hypertension, haematology, oncology, respirology, endocrinology and metabolism, infectious disease, gastroenterology and nutrition, and neurology.

With these sub-specialties, the quality of cognitive and clinical instructions received by our medical students has improved significantly. The technical staff has been particularly helpful in teaching practical laboratory procedures to our students.

Objectives

Our goal is to train medical students to high level of cognition, psychomotor skills, and effect in paediatric medicine and child health.

The objective is to ensure that our medical graduates attain the highest standard of medical education that will distinguish them anywhere in the world.
